  31. Whatever you should buy depends from what you need. If you need a
  32. ISDN-router for 4 lines you should buy a router or use an old 386 with
  33. standard ISA cards. If you need a multi functional device for V.34,
  34. FAX, ISDN X.75, standalone FAX receiving, ... for *all* your connections
  35. to the world from your home or your office, you could by a Elite 2864I
  36. or something like that.

  38. Another important thing is the OS you're running.
  39. I *only* run  Unix'es at home and I don't see much drivers for the
  40. ISA-cards for "my" Unix SVR4.2 system, but I've good drivers (sas) for
  41. the RS232 port (up to 115.200) and have good software for FAX (HylaFAX)
  42. and for PPP (ppp-0.85) and so I prefer an *external* modem/TA.

  44. BTW: I think that the list price (DM ~1300-1400) is a special
  45. german (tax?) problem.
